Arashi Jet 2011

From July 25th to January 1st of next year, Japan Airlines will operate the “JAL Arashi Jet,” a special plane whose exterior is decorated with a picture of the 5-member Japanese idol group Arashi. The plane will serve domestic flights leaving from Haneda Airport. 

This is the 2nd time an “Arashi airplane” is being made to operate. One such special plane has already flown from September 2010 to January of this year, as a celebration of Arashi’s million-selling album “Boku no Miteiru Fukei.” JAL decided to create this year’s “Arashi Jet” to answer to the many fans’ fervent response to the first one. 

Through this occasion, JAL hopes to convey a message of hope for Eastern Japan’s earthquake victims. The plane will fly mostly between Haneda, Sapporo, Itami, Fukuoka, and Okinawa.

At the same time, JAL will enforce their “Natsu Tabi (Summer Trip) Campaign,” which will give out various prizes including the “Arashi Jet Model Plane”. They choose Tooku Made, one of the song in the album to be a theme song.
